Getir delivers another round of job cuts

The ultra-fast grocery supply sector has continued to move downhill as Getir, one of the sector’s leading players, announced plans to slash about a tenth of its workforce for the second time this 12 months.

anonse gazeta The Turkey-based agency, which promises to deliver groceries in minutes, will reduce 2,500 jobs, or 11 per cent of its workforce, throughout the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, United States and Turkey to “significantly enhance operational efficiency”.

The company refused to reveal how many workers within the UK, certainly one of its biggest markets, have been affected.
